You add the classes to a custom jar file and make a custom version entry (from what I know copy the version folder of the version you wish to use, rename the folder and jar file and edit the JSON file to reflect that) then use it. The reason why you don't use it determines how we respond to you.Īnyways, it should be virtually the same as on Windows. You could want to use a mod that seemingly doesn't work with Forge but in actuality, does, and we'd correct that for you. You could wrongly think that Forge is an optional way to install mods easier (now that you've answered my question indirectly, I know this is not the case), of which case we'd correct that for you. It does as your reasoning changes our responses. I know you can do it windows, but I can't figure it out on mac. I'm just wondering if you can still do it on mac. I would just recompile the changed code and add it back to the jar like how it used to be before they changed to the new launcher. I like editing the code myself and changing a few things around without making a mod for it. But it's not just mods that other people make.
